Season Finale: The Mountain Witches are Champions
On August 29, the eighth season of the Ural Super League volleyball tournament came to an end. The main event was the final match, in which the Mountain Witches team confidently defeated the current leader of the tournament, the Olympia team. The score was 3:0 (25:23, 25:14, 25:18). This victory allowed the Mountain Witches to overtake Olympia in the standings and take first place with a margin of just one point.
However, the fate of the championship was finally decided in the last match, where Ural Miami and Volley Island met on the court. For Ural Miami, this game was a chance for a sensation: a victory could have propelled the team from fourth place to the top and secured the title for the season. However, the players failed to cope with the pressure and lost to their opponents.
The eighth-season championship was the result of a close fight, in which the Mountain Witches managed to pull off a victory right at the finish line.
